SAVED

Living in worldliness speaks about our close assocition with the World and worldly people receiving nothing but brickbats. But knowing the Lord and tasting the Lords Love and meditating the Lords death on the cross of calvary brings peace, understanding and forgiveness of sins. Thereon we live a life of joy, seeking the wisdom of the Lord to know more and more deeper doctrines and preparing ourselves to enter into the Kingdom of God. I am saved from the pit which I digged for myself by enclosing myself to the lust of the world, but Wonderful God saved me from falling down into the pit. God be praised and Glorified for his marvelous things that he did in my life. God is Love, to be worshipped in Truth and Spirit. May God save all the mankind to enter into rest. The rest every child of God needs. That is what Jesus, Come unto me all you who are heavily laden, I will find you rest. Yes, indeed only Jesus can give us the rest. Only we need to look unto the Heavenly throne from where the help comes. Let us have a close communion with Christ and serve him in true spirit from the depth of our hearts without any selfishness in us. May God bless us all. Keep wiriting to me for Lord loves me a lot and hears my every prayer. For any sort of prayer please write to me: stephen56@sify.com. God will listen to your prayers and he is stetching forth his hands to receive you, come unot him.

MESSAGE

FORGIVENESS

Every child of God needs forgiveness. None is perfect in this World. Everyone has fallen short of Glory of God, because everyone has fallen short of the expectations of God. We are all sinners before the sight of God and we need His forgiveness by His Grace the same we need to extend to others. Bible emphasizes much about forgiveness. When we meditate the Word of God, in particular the death of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, we will understand why Jesus had come on earth and why he was crucified on the Cross. God in his model prayer says forgive our sins as we forgive others. Many Christians recite this prayer in a normal way but fail to practice this prayer. If we need our Lord to forgive our sins and live in state of clean and perfect life, first we need to forgive others. Dear Brothers and sisters, on reading this, do you feel that you are in want of forgiveness. Yes would be the answer. The whole universe needs forgiveness without which you cannot have peace on earth. All our happiness and fulfillment depend upon forgiveness. The Heavenly God knew that we all will do wrong and we treat others in a same manner. We sin against God and others. Jesus spoke more of forgiveness than any other subject. This is an import subject that we need to learn deeper till the very nucleus of our being is changed into Love. Life without God's Love is in vain. As such there is no life devoid of forgiveness. Everyone of us are dying daily because of not having nature of forgiveness in us. When we are not able to forgive others, even we are not forgiven. That shows the God's Love is not in us. He, who possesses the Love of God, never hesitates to forgive others. Forgiveness is the proof of Love of Christ dwelling in us. But we go on saying that we Love Christ and the Love of Christ is reigning in us, but if we do not forgive, then we are deceiving ourselves and our "love" is only a distortion of the real thing We Need Forgiveness The Bible exhorts that we must face our sin and deal with it--and should not run away from it only then can we have the peace that the world craves so badly. It might be frightening and painful thing to face our own sin, yet we will not be cleansed. Our culpability will continue to torment us and wreak havoc on our lives until we receive forgiveness from our sins. The key is not to ignore our guilt or try to sheen over it, but to face it and seek God for forgiveness, through the blood of Jesus. A live in example is of our own Jesus who died on the cross. He took all our sins as a punishment upon Himself. He experienced the emotional pain of the abuse, betrayal, injustice, and scorn that we ourselves have given. Prophesizing, Isaiah wrote, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" Isaiah 53:5. In Hebrews 9:22, it says, "In fact, under the Law, almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins So healing of sickness is linked to forgiveness. Sickness in the body is contracted through sins which we commit. Unless we seek forgiveness by repenting, the sickness cannot be healed. For in Psalms 103:3 the Psalmist says It is HE who is forgiving all your errors and healing your diseases. The weight of sin is so great that only shedding of blood can atone for it. The whole world is reeling and stunted and dying under the consequences of taking it so lightly. The guilt is eating us away. God does not change. He was the same yesterday, is today and is forever. He hates the sin that destroys His creation, and He will be merciless against all forms of sin and injustice until every last bit is purged from us. God, in His mercy, has allowed us to see and receive a small portion of the consequences of our sin in this lifetime, so that our lives can change, while we still have an opportunity to do so. After we die it will be too late. Dear Brothers and Sisters, if you were to die tonight, you need to stand before your Creator with a crystal clean conscience. You can be washed clean and perfumed and luminous. You don't have to hide from the guilty feelings that tyrannize you deep inside. You don't have to feel shameful to come before the Lord in prayer. God's grace has kept you alive this long for a reason so you can hear Him calling out to you. It's not too late! No matter what you've done, it isn't too late for you to repent and to change your ways! If you are willing and ready to change your life, God is more than ready to help you, forgive you and restore you. Forgiveness should not be taken for granted. Every sinner through the blood of Jesus has the opportunity to receive forgiveness, but it does not happen involuntarily. The Bible has set forth some conditions to obtain God's forgiveness. Let's meditate on the followings verses: 1. Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovah. So we need to turn around to our God and repent for all the shortcomings so that we can rejoice in receiving the seasons of refreshing from Jehovah God. 2. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We should confess our sins without hiding some of them, and then we will be made whole. 3. In Isaiah 1:18 the Lord says "Come now you people and let us reason together…..If you people show willingness and do listen…the good of the land you will eat. If we sit in the presence of God and confess all our sins then we can eat good of the land. 4. Isaiah 55:7 "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon 5. Romans 13:7 "Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor" (NIV). If we are sincere in our repentance we must be willing to pay the penalty for our crimes against others. This could include restoration of any goods, monies, or services that were taken wrongfully, (or never given at all, if we owed them). The Lord says to "agree with our adversary." If we are in dispute with someone, that means we must admit to what we have done and quit trying to defend ourselves. If we are in the wrong (even partially) it is better to take responsibility for it, than to argue for our rights 6. Matthew 6:14-15, "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. And Further in Mark 11:25-26 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop--leave it, let it go--in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your (own) failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings." Many Christians are full of condemnation and guilt because they still feel the heaviness of their sins, even though they've asked God to forgive them. Could it be that they have not been able to receive God's forgiveness because they still have bitterness in their own hearts toward others? If you are suffering with deep unhealed wounds, know the Lord has also been hurt with your pain. He loves you and wants to heal you. It is because of His great love for you that He is calling you to forgive. From the above verses, we should learn that we must confess and repent for our sins and need to be specific. We must know ourselves where we have erred, and how we have hurt our God by our actions. The second forthcoming attitude in us should be to turn from our wicked ways and change them. We may fight with a certain sin, but if our aim is truly to change our ways and overcome that sin, God will give us the grace to do it. Many want to receive forgiveness from God without mending their ways. God knows the difference between those who are sincere and those who are using Him to temporarily ease their conscience. God cannot be mocked or deceived. If one comes to him in sorrow, humility and sincerity, His grace is abundant. For he says, My Grace is Sufficient for thee. His greatest joy is to help those who repent in sincerity. This should include asking forgiveness of those you have wronged and making restitution to them. True repentance will always be accompanied by corresponding actions. Dear Brothers and Sisters If you really turn unto the Lord, In Micah 7:19, the Word of the Lord says "He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." Our God is a God of Compassion and Love. Because of His Love, for us, that we are not consumed. May God bless us by cleansing and forgiving us. Yours in Christ Bro. Louis Stephen
