"Other seeds fell on good soil and yielded grain,
some a hundred times as much as was sown,
some sixty times as much, some thirty." Matthew 13:8
Seeds represent potential. They are symbolic of the potential we see and Christ created (while still in the mother's womb) in our children. A packet of seeds contains hundreds of promises. A seed has all the potential for life, but as a seed, it is dead. Nothing is happening inside. Nevertheless, every thing is inside that seed to produce something greater than itself. It is only after being buried, having the right conditions, and absorbing enough moisture that the seed comes to life, bursts out, sprouts. The seed has given itself to become something larger and more wonderful-----a plant that will produce many more seeds. "The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him." Luke 2:40
