AMBASSADOR'S for CHRIST...
Jesus said in John 6 that He came not to do His own will, but the will of Him who sent Him. Apostle means one sent, an Ambassador, send by God for a purpose with a mission. Our word is missionary but ambassador describes it better in our time. An ambassador is bound to the will of Him who sent him. As Jesus repeatedly declared (John 5:30) I seek not my own will but the will of the Father who sent me. (Matt 12:50) My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me. And (Mark 3:35) Whoever does the will of God, this one is My brother, and My sister, and My mother. And then there is Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me: Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ So, we take the mission of reconciling the world to God through Jesus Christ by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, seriously. It is more than a simple prayer or ambivilant religion. To disciple others to seek, know, understand, do and obey the will of God, is a life consuming task. After all the commission was not to go make converts, but to go; and as you go, make disciples... Make disciples of All nations.... As bond slaves of Jesus Christ, as ones who has given their lives over to the task of knowing and obeying His will, we disciple others....And may God find us so - doing when He comes.
STEVE and MARIETJIE
STEVE~~~ He was just reading a little Gideon's NT when God saved him in 1983. When he came to James 1:5, he said: "Lord, If you give me wisdom. I'll teach Your people." And that is exactly what he has been doing since. Steve's life up to that date lacked wisdom in a big way. It was filled with drugs, crime, ilicit lust affairs and children murdered. BUT GOD in His great love reached down amidst all that mess and called Steve into His Kingdom. He has preached the gospel and pastored in our church, preached elsewhere in the USA and abroad, impacted juvenile delinquents, witnessed to bussiness people and are a wise and loving father to our five beautiful children. This vessel of God is a multifaceted gift to the body of Christ. He is the founder and director of Connecticut River Media Ministries that has an internet radio at www.connecticutriverconcerts.com .............................................................................................................................................................................. MARIETJIE~~~ Marietjie,a PK raised in South Africa, found God at an early age but rebelled against the call of God upon her for a few years. She finaly laid down the controls in 1980 when God promised to never leave her till the end of the world. She ministered in the north east of South Africa in para church groups, churches and anywhere (sometimes streetcorners)where people would gather to listen. After coming to America in 1986 on a word from God and marrying Steve, she became his helpmate in ministry while training their five children. Marietjie's heart pretty much beats to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God, resulting in salvations, deliverances, healings and prosperity. We first planted a church that became Forgiven Heart Fellowship. In 2001 that work was put away to make way for something a bit more personal, authentic and honest. We simply called this: The Gathering Place. We did away with buildings and meet in a room above our garage in Bernardston, right on Rt 5. There is an intimate, intense group meeting on Sundays at 10:30am. DIRECTIONS: Take exit 28B of off I 91. When you come to a T, take a right. A mile and a bit later, on the left, will be a sign: The Gathering Place. The Chases are part of a greater New England network of ministries that also includes New York.
