Mission Statement
With One Accord believes that it take people who will stand with heart of compassion, committment, love and understanding to make a difference in the lives of women less fortunte thn most of us.
Our mission is to secure God-centered transitional home in Fairfield County, CT to house 10-15 women in yearly program. Our in-house program will consist of bible study, individual counseling, substance abuse meetings, health wareness and job training (many of these women have NEVER been employed). We will also offer self-esteem mentoring programs, computer training, community based eductional programs and aftercare upon program completion. Once our facility has been secured our annual funding will be supported by private grants, donation commitments and fundrisers. We truly believe that With One Accord we can move mountains in the lives of women who have lost their hope somewhere along the way if we just give them chance. The Archie Pharr Gospel Explosion Scholarship Fund
This is an annual event held at the Yerwood Community Center geared toward all youths in the Stamford, CT area between the ages of 7-18 years old. We give youths with the talent of Song, Rap, Mime, Steppers, Dance or who play a string or horn instrument (small instruments only) the forum to display their gift and the opportunity to compete for monetary scholarship awards towards their College, Arts or Drama education. The funds can be used towards studio time, drama camp, books, etc. that enhance their educational endeavors. THE RULES:  Clean Rap, Dance, Song, Steppers and Mime with a positive theme, NO PROFANITY. PERFORANCE: 4 minute , winning criteria based on Professionlism, Appearance , Style, Delivery and Clarity of message. AWARD CRITERIA: High school, middle school and elementary school students, funds are awarded to representitive/parent(s) of youth who may use the funds for any educational endeavor, i.e. studio time, books, etc. The name of studio, drama camp or educational endeavor must be given to â€oeWith One Accord, Inc." in writing before the funds are awarded to representative/parent.
