What is The Lights Ministries?
The Lights Ministries (TLM) grew out of the work and efforts of the Emerging Leadership Institute (ELI) (www.icomm.ca/eli) that I co-founded in September 1997 in Washington, D.C. during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference. The Lights Ministries will continue the work initiated by ELI by striving to identify, cultivate, and develop new and emerging effective and accountable Christian leadership. The ministry addresses the concerns of the Black community by maintaining a network of this new and emerging generation of Saints and Christian leaders. In addition, TLM will host revivals and empowerment services in the spirit of Pentecost (Acts 2) in the D.C. metropolitan area. We have been called to organize and empower God's children under the age of forty to pray and worship the Lord so that we may be an example of God's greatness and power. We would like to share what God has called us to do by visiting your church this year and hosting a revival and/or service.
