Who are we? . . . . . . . . . .
We are a ministry of Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS), in Fallbrook, California.< Our men's leadership board is made up of the following people:< Pastor Mark Demel, Glenn Keene, Paul Borden, Chuck Collins, Paul Gonzalez and Jeff Gordenier.< Every Friday morning at 6:45 a.m., we meet at Denny's Restaurant in Fallbrook. (Except for the last Saturday of the month.)< The last Saturday of each month we meet in the church fellowship hall at 8 a.m. for the monthly men's breakfast.
Pastor's Message
Dear Men of Zion, As one reads of Abraham in the book of Genesis it is easy to see that God blessed him so that he might be a blessing to others. It is also easy to see that Abraham was just that -- a blessing to others. The blessing of Abraham has even come to us through one of his descendants, namely our Lord Jesus Christ. As I think of our lives as men and of the Men's Ministry of Zion Lutheran, the same twofold blessing comes to mind. First, through the Men's Ministry, God wants to bless each of us individually. He wants to bless you with increased spirituality, a greater love for Him, new insights and knowledge, and with fellowship and a sense of belonging. In addition, God wants to bless others through you and your participation in Men's Ministry. His desire is for His blessing to be upon you and to extend through you as you are a blessing to your wife, your children, your church, your community, and others. My hope and prayer is that Men's Ministry provides for you an opportunity for fellowship, which includes just being together with the guys. That you find in it, encouragement, support, and spiritual strength and insight. And yes, that it is an opportunity to simply have fun with other Christian men. But even more, that your relationship with the Men's Ministry spills over, as you are blessed to regularly be a blessing to others.
