WHO WE ARE


Comfort My People is a ministry for the edification of the church. Through the preaching of the Word, Music and Publication of articles and study guides, CMP wants to comfort the Church and meet the needs of Christians. C.M.P. organizes concerts in various churches and through songs and testimonies the Gospel is proclaimed. Every concert is centered around the preaching of the Word of God. C.M.P. is a free ministry to the Church, there is no charge or fee required to be blessed. THE LEADERS

Benoit and Gerty are graduates of Continental Theological Seminary and minister in the state of New York. Their desire is to see God move powerfully in their lives and through the ministry He entrusted them. They are affiliated with The Assemblies of God. They have been married for 8 years and have 4 children (Tatiana 7 - Joachim 6 - Tamara 4 - Stefann 1). They actually serve in various ministries (Sunday School, Nursery, Sound System, Worship, Special Music, Preaching and I.C.I.) at Yonkers Christian Assembly, in Yonkers, New York. MINISTRY FOR FRENCH SPEAKERS

Benoit and Gerty both speak French and have the desire to minister to the French Speakers in the area. There are about 10,000 of them unreached by the Gospel living in the state of New York. They come from Haiti, Africa, Canada and Europe. Many of them are isolated, alone or involved in a mixed relationship. Gerty has written a book on mixed relationship, this book is based on her experience and discussion with many women engaged in a mixed marriage. This is a very good tool to teache a pre-marital class or improve the quality of ones mixed marriage. Contact us to know how you can get a copy of that book.
Benoit is working with Pastor Ouatara (A/G) in a French speaking church in Manhattan. Their plan is to start a service for the French Speaking employees of the UN. Please, pray for Benoit and Gerty, so the Lord will lead them to do His will, and that He will bless them in the search of His righteouness.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Benoit and Gerty are involved in a music minstry, Benoit plays the music and Gerty writes the songs. Last year, C.M.P. aquired a keyboard and some recording equipment to help in the production of various projects. Benoit has produced back-up tapes for the puppets shows of a vacation bible school in Yonkers. The latest production of C.M.P. is a music cassette entitled "The Shadow Of God" (you can order it for $8.00 plus shipping) C.M.P. is also helping other christians to produce their own projects. CHILDREN MINISTRY


Benoit has, for many years, worked with children. He started in 1985 with International Media Ministries and 'The Children's Boulevard'(French video series of children's programs that were translated in many languages and are still broadcasted in 14 countries on national stations). Since he is in the US, Benoit has the desire to produce children programs to present the message of the Gospel in a language more adapted to the little ones. This last summer Benoit was invited by a church to animate a vacation bible school with his puppets. It was surprisingly successful. The children, age 5 to 12, were impressed, listening and responded very well to the message presented. If you would like to receive Benoit and his puppets in your church or children's club or even for a street meeting, please contact us as soon as possible.

QUI NOUS SOMMES

Console Mon Peuple est un ministère d'édification pour l'Eglise. C.M.P. veut encourager les chrétiens et rencontrer leur besoins. Pour ce faire C.M.P. diffuse le message de la Parole de Dieu au travers de la prédication, la musique, la publication d'articles et de guides d'étude biblique. C.M.P. organise des concerts dans diverses églises, par le chant et les témoignages l'Evangile y est proclamé. Chaque concert est centré sur la prédication de la Parole de Dieu. C.M.P. est un ministére offert gratuitement à l'Eglise et il n'y a ni charges, ni frais pour être béni par Dieu. LES RESPONSABLES

Benoit et Gerty sont diplomés du Continental Theological Seminary et ont un ministère dans l'Etat de New York. Benoit et Gerty sont affiliés aux Assemblées de Dieu. Leur désir est de voir le Seigneur agir puissament dans leur vie et au travers du ministère qu'Il leur a confié. Ils sont mariés depuis 8 ans et ont 4 enfants (Tatiana 7 - Joachim 6 - Tamara 4 et Stefann 1). Ils servent aujourd'hui, dans divers ministéres (Ecole du dimanche, Garderie, Sonorification, Louange, Musique, Prédication et International Correspondance Institut) à Yonkers Christian Assembly, Yonkers, New York. MINISTERE PARMI LES FRANCOPHONES

Benoit et Gerty parlent tout deux le Francais et désirent atteindre les francophones de la région. Il y a près de 10.000 francophones dans l'état de New York, venant d'Haiti, d'Afrique, du Canada et d'Europe. La plupart sont isolés ou engagés dans une relation mixte. Gerty a écrit un livre sur les relations mixtes, ce livre est basé sur son expérience et ses nombreuses discussions avec des femmes engagées dans ce genre de relation. C'est un excellent outil pour enseigner une classe sur la mariage ou améliorer la qualité de tous ces mariages mixtes autour de nous. Benoit s'inclu dans le ministère avec le Pasteur Ouatara qui dirige une èglise francophone à Manhattan. Leur désir est d'organiser un culte dominical pour les employés francophones des "Nations Unies". MINISTERE MUSICAL

Benoit et Gerty sont inclus dans un ministère musical. Benoit joue la musique et Gerty écrit les chants. L'année dernière, C.M.P. a acquis un synthétiseur et du matériel d'enregistrement qui permettent la production de divers projets. Benoit a produit une série d'enregistrements pour des marionnettes lors d'un camps biblique cet été à Yonkers. MINISTERE PARMI LES ENFANTS


Benoit a depuis des années travaillé parmi les enfants. Il a commencé en 1985 en Belgique avec International Media Ministries et le Boulevard des enfants (une série vidéo de programmes pour les enfants qui fut traduite en plusieurs langues et encore émise dans plus de 14 pays francophones sur des chaines nationales). Depuis qu'il est aux USA Benoit désir reprendre la production de programmes pour enfants afin de présenter le message de l'Evangile aux plus petits dans un langage adapté à leur age. Cet été, il fut invité par une église pour animer un camps de vacances avec des marionnettes. Ce fut un succes surprenant. Les enfants étaient tous (de 5 ans à 12 ans) impressionnés, attentifs et réceptifs au message présenté.
