CASCADE WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES, INC.
Cascade Worldwide Ministries, Inc. is an evangelistic ministry. Our mission is two fold: 1)to seek and save that which is lost by going into all the world preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and, 2) to help bring the body of Christ on one accord. We minister in shelters, on the street, in churches, school auditoriums, etc. During the week, we provide prayer and bible study sessions the largest women's shelters in Prince George's County, Maryland and on the fourth Sunday of every month, we minister in the church located in this shelter. Our message reaches bruised teenagers and adults, those who have never accepted Christ as Savior and those who have backsliden. We also have a monthly radio broadcast on WYCB RADIO and we have supported Promise Keepers.Our travel has mostly been on the eastcoast and midwest of the United States and we have travelled alittle abroad.
Current Project and Information about the founder
Our current project is the Bless the Police Celebration. Planning has been going on since March 1998. Our objective is to bring the body of Christ together to pray and stand in the gap for the law enforcement community (Federal, state, and/or local level) and to present salvation. We have invited active and retired law enforcement officers to the service as well as local dignitaries in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. The service will be held at Bible Way Temple, 1100 New Jersey Ave in Washington, D.C. on Friday, September 18, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. Please join us in prayer about this event for the law enforcement community. About the founder of the ministry, Rev. Andre E. Brown graduated from the Teen Challenge Ministry, a drug rehabilitation ministry under the Assemblies of God. After graduating in 1985, God directed him to start the "Cascade" Worldwide Ministries, Inc. The name "Cascade" means waterfall, symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Through this ministry, he and his wife have seen many lives changed and we thank God for what He has done and is continually doing.
