Christian Life Institute for Ministry & Blessings

WHAT IS C.L.I.M.B. ?

C.L.I.M.B., Inc. (Christian Life Institute for Ministry & Blessings) is a nondenominational parachurch organization that serves the Body of Christ by providing support to local churches with Bible based training to lay persons, and ministers.

By pooling the resources of local churches, economies of scale are created (i.e.,combining resources to have a joint project or operation that - due to limited resources - an individual church would not
be able to support on its own).

There are four components of C.L.I.M.B.:

The Center for Evangelism,
The Center for Reconciliation,
The Center for Education, and
The Center for Technology.


CENTER FOR EVANGELISM

The Center for Evangelism has a mission to assist local churches in developing Street/Youth evangelism teams to spread the Gospel to the people of Whatcom County. C.L.I.M.B. helps sponsor and coordinate multi-church - joint projects (mostly outdoors) for the youth to enjoy themselves and share the love of Christ

CENTER FOR RECONCILIATION

The Center for Reconciliation has a mission to assist local churches in breaking down racial, denominational and intra-church walls.

The seven areas of reconciliation are:

Spiritual - between Man & GOD
Racial
Denominational/Intra-church
Generational - between age groups
Gender - between men and women
Class
Environmental - between man and nature



CENTER FOR EDUCATION

The Center for Education has a mission to provide quality Bible based education for Christian Workers, Small Group Leaders, Lay Persons, and Ministers.

The long-range goal also is to develop a Christian Community College with an extensive library that will provide the Body of Christ with access to Christian books, video and audio tapes for loan.



CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY

The Center for Technology has a mission to
assist local churches in the development of computer labs and help train local church members in the areas of computer technology.

The long-range goal is to develop a data communications network where local churches can share the cost of Internet access for their church and be connected to the world-wide Body of Christ.



THE MISSION OF C.L.I.M.B.

There is a need for an institute of ministry in Whatcom County (as a matter of fact from Everett to the Canadian border there are a large number of churches that have believers that can take advantage of this type of ministry ).

There are projects, events, training and ministry that require greater amounts of resources and skills to accomplish than are available in most small and medium sized local churches.



HOW IS C.L.I.M.B. ORGANIZED?

C.L.I.M.B. is currently staffed by volunteers that have a heart to serve the Lord through supporting local churches "equip the saints".

Staffed by local pastors and ministers, C.L.I.M.B. will provide the Body of Christ Biblical based training to accomplish their God given goals in ministry.

Local churches will provide the leadership of C.L.I.M.B., through cooperation and love. The Advisory Board shall consist of local pastors and parachurch leaders. Additionally, by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, pastors and ministers from around the country, even the world can participate, mentor and teach classes and courses at C.L.I.M.B.

C.L.I.M.B. will utilize the most appropriate technology to equip the saints through the following methods/medium:

Training Video & Audio Tapes
On-Site Seminars (at the local church)
Classroom instruction
On-line computer instruction
Correspondence courses
Training publications

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
