Message:Woe to them that go down to Egypt..
The children of Israel went back down to Egypt after they had been delivered out of bondage. God said that this choice would cause them great sorrow and great pain.(DEF.WOE)The bible says that they went "down" into Egypt for help. They had to fall from the place that God had brought them to. We also have an Egypt. (I am using Egypt figuratively here) Egypt represents the old life that we once knew before God brought us out of bondage. It is the nature of the natural man to try to "fix" himself, but we must be careful not to try to repair our spiritual wounds with trips back to the old life style. Any such choice will cause us pain.There are many in the body of Christ who make frequent trips back to Egypt. Are you such a one? Perhaps you sneek down to Egypt when no one else is around. Maybe your pastor doesn't know, maybe your family doesn't know, But YOUR GOD KNOWS!! He doesn't like what is happening to you in Egypt. He says...I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmaskers: for I know their sorrows:(8)And I am come down to DELIVER them out of the hands of the Egyptians, and to bring them UP out of that land unto a good land...Surrender yourself to the delivering power of God today!!! He wants to remove every hindrance so that you can be all that he has called you to be. Let him be GOD to you!!! E-mail us for prayer or ministry!
