Purpose, Goals, Services and Events:

OUR PURPOSE:
AFGWC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fellowship, spport and encouragement to ordained, licensed and lay women ministers who serve in Pentecostal, Neo-Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations and independent bodies.

OUR GOALS:

o Help women ministers develop their full potential in whatever areas of ministry they are called

o Develop a network through which women in ministry can find support and encouragement from other ministers, learn about opportunities for ministry, and receive assistance and counseling regarding specific aspects of ministry

o Identify obstacles encountered by women called by God to public ministry, and to identify ways to reduce or eliminate the negative impact of those obstacles.

o Help women identify their specific calling and prepare for their respective areas of ministry.

o Function as a resource center for women in ministry, and serve as a conduit for informing and helping them through the licensing process.

o Model effective, Spirit-led ministry in the body of Christ.

o Explore ways women ministers can more actively participate in the full life, ministry and governing of the church.

o Raise the consciousness of our churches around issues related to women in ministry

o Gain parity for women ministers with our male colleagues.
