Central is a loving small town church. We are located 2 blocks off of highway 84 just 10 miles south of Snyder. Central has a 100 year long tradition of loving each other, reaching out to those in need, and exalting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Come just as you are. Our goal is to help you know Jesus Christ in a relationship, grow deep in that relationship, encourage one another in the faith, and point the community of Hermleigh to the love of Christ.
We are associated with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention

What We Believe

We are a conservative Southern Baptist Church. We believe that God is the creator and Father of all. God is perfect in every way. He is the righteous and holy One who is worthy of all praise.
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. God so loved the world that He sent Jesus Christ to live a life of sinless perfection and die on the cross for the sins of humanity. Jesus Christ died to pay the price for the sins of humanity, but rose again from the grave after 3 days. Christ is the Savior and the only way to heaven and a right relationship with God. He is seated today at the right hand of the Heavenly Father, and we strive to live each day expectant of His return to call home His saints.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God living in each Christian. Through the Holy Spirit God leads His children in the way that they should go, gives peace in all circumstances, and works His power through spriritual gifts.
The Bible is the inerrant Word of the Living God. Through the Bible we see a history of God, His people, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and how the believer is supposed to live. The Bible is alive and speaks to us through the Holy Spirit. We are given instructions in faith and living in such a way to glorify God.
The Church is the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the church and is its reason for existence. The church's mission has three purposes: to evangelize the lost, edify (build up) the saints, and to exalt Jesus Christ.
