The Past...
The official founder of Kuantan Baptist Church (KBC) are FMB missionaries, Hugh and Kathryn Smith. Formed on May 15, 1977 with 31 charter members, this church has been very evangelistic, both within its own walls and in establishing outreach points to spread the love of God. In December 1975, Pekan Baptist Church was formed and the Kean Tao Baptist Church started in KBC building in 1976. KBC has also given covering to Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bahru Baptist Church during their infant stages. It is fair to say that KBC is the mother church for the East Coast. The Present...
Today, spearheaded by five Elders, with Elder Eng Jee Fong as the president, the church has grown steadily. Currently, the congregation consists of over 100 people and the number is still increasing with more souls being saved from time to time.
