THE DIOCESAN BISHOP
Bishop G Tawonezvi worked as a priest at Highfield St Pauls before he became the Dean of St Marys Cathedral in Harare. He was then elected Bishop.He is now two years in office. He is married to a beautful wife. They do have four children. The work in this Diocese is too much since there are only four priest from such a new diocese. The Bishop is working extra hard to cover all the rural churches.
Serminarians
The Dioces has then later embacked on a priest training programm in order to boost the number of servers in the dioces. There are almost 14 serminarians under training to be priests of tommorrow. Things are going on well. The church is helping with the upkeep of the serminarians. There are some problems. The Diocese is also preparing to build a college for the training of priest. It is only running short of finance of which if it is found the alread structures will be then built. It has one Student priest who is being trained at Bishop Gaul College in Harare. He is the first student to be sent by the newly formed diocese of Masvingo. He is also inneed of financial support from the church.He will be finishing in 2006.
