-enhancing the quality of life for Native American People and churches through an educational ministry (that prepares men and women for pastoral and lay leadership) and promotes spiritual growth, healing and cross-cultural understanding.
The Board of Directors of the Council for American Indian Ministries (UCC) affirms and participates in the establishment of the Eagle Butte Learning Center. The urgent need for effective pastoral and lay leadership in American Indian communities and on reservations is of paramount concern. Thus, CAIM's units of ministry will utilize the Learning Center, and in many instances the Learning Center will offer classes throughout the units of ministry: Dakota Association UCC, Fort Berthold Council of Congregational Churches, Ho Chunk UCC, and All Nations UCC.
CAIM and the Learning Center are in the process of:Partnerships are being formed throughout the United Church of Christ and many other opportunities for partners are available.
