Church of God in Christ Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God. We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer. We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.

We seek to be a biblical ministry of excellence designed to ecourage life transformation through our three-fold purpose: to edify, evangilize and equip the community and reach to the world for Jesus Christ. We strive to be compassionate in our love, holy in our living and reverent in our Worship. We are a church that is built on love and the church that love is building. For Jesus said, "this is my commandment, that you love one another..." and we hold to that commandment is our goal to reach the world for Jesus Christ. We have a 'come as you are' outlook. You are free to be who God designed you to be, annointed you to be and is molding you to be. Come and Grow with us. Be blessed.

Message From the Pastor

Many lives are being destroyed by Drugs, Crime and Disease. But, THERE IS AN ANSWER TO EVERY PROBLEM. Question: "WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?" Acts 16:30 Answer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:31 Jesus alone can save your household. NO ONE ELSE CAN DO IT. Not Buddha, Mohammed or any other religious figure. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must saved." Acts 4:12 You cannot save yourself. "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteous are as filthy rags and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 Question: Is it easy to be saved? Answer: "...If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 Question: Is there a sin or crime that God will not forgive? Answer: NO. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though yours sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18 Both SCARLET and CRIMSON are different shades of RED. SCARLET represents lewd and lustful sins of the flesh while CRIMSON represents bloody, violent murderous acts. GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST FORGIVES ALL. Question: Can I be healed? Answer: "...If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voices of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statues, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptiain. FOR I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE" Exodus 15:26 "...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and HEALING ALL that were OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL; for God was with him." Acts 10:38 Question: Can I be delivered from addiction? Answer: Addiction (chemical dependence) alcoholism are all symptoms of demonic possession. In Mark chapter 5 verses 1 through 15, Jesus encountered a man possessed by 2,000 demons. The man was suicidal, he would keep on no clothes, he was insane but Jesus put his life together. The end result was that he was clothed and in his right mind.

As part of our effort to assist the community with effective spiritual, emotional, and life fulfillment, Ebenezer Temple proudly offers free mental health awareness and counseling. Sister Melissa Earls, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counseling and Certified School Counselor. She is anexperienced psychotherapist, now specializing in play therapy, anger management and family counseling. She has extensive knowledge relative to addictions, personality disorders, psychosis and stress in groups of all ages. In addition, she has considerable expertise in working with juveniles, pre-adolescent childhood trauma and victims of sexual abuse.
