Moving in the Center of God's will to reach the world for Jesus Christ is the motto of Central Baptist Church in Sulphur, Louisiana. While we are a small country church in the town of Sulphur, our ministries reach around the world through the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention and our direct involvment in the Seaman's ministry of Carey Baptist Association through the Port of Lake Charles, Louisiana. We have members who volunteer for mission work around the world and have purposed to reach our community through our varied ministries including, Music Ministry, Youth Ministry, Children's Ministry and Prayer Ministry. We have seen miricles of God in our prayer ministry when people are healed from incurable diseases. We have even received a letter from the White House thanking us for our praying for our leaders as the Bible tells us to do. We feel we are a great comission church in obeying Christ's commandment to "Go into all the world". THis page is just a part of our going.
If the Holy Spirit is convicting and calling you to salvation, the Bible says in Romans 10:13 "Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". A stands for admit your are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. By admitting your sin, you recognize your need for what Christ did when he died and rose again. B stands for believe in that we believe Jesus Christ is God's only begotton son who died for our sins and rose again that we may have eternal life. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting Life". C stands for commit. By committing to him you are saying Jesus is Lord of my life. Romans 10:9 puts it this way. "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved." You see salvation is an act of God not of man. Paul further put it this way, "For by Grace are ye saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast." If you are called by the spirit and pray a prayer admitting to God that you are a sinner and are sorry for your sins that sent Christ to the Cross further asking the Lord to save you and to reign as lord of your life, you will be saved. If you pray this prayer and would like to have more information, please contact us through our pastor's e mail address.
