History
Brantley' Chapel Primitive Baptist Church was organized in Aug. 1948 by twelve people, made up of 8 men and 4 women. Bros. Jeff Ellison, Clifford Brantley, Everett Brantley, Cyrus McBee, Plumer McBee, Millard Welch, Von Beason, R.P. Bridges. Sisters, Mildred Brantley, Ottie McBee, Luda Welch, and Ora Bridges. The church was named after Elder Theodore Brantley who was to have been the first paster, but past away in May of 1948. Starting out in just a small two room house, by 1950 the church had a stone building in which they are presently worshiping in. Since 1948 they have had seven pastors. Elder John F. Keck, Elder Bill Sparks, Elder Clifford Brantley, Elder J.C. Monday, Elder Everett Berry, Elder Bill Berry, and Elder Jerry McBee.
