We are a United Methodist Church, with sister churches scattered throughout the United States. Our pastor also serves the Salem United Methodist Church in rural Allen County, Kansas. United Methodists share a rich heritage of evangelical, heart-warming faith and loving, social action. We emphasize spiritual growth and sharing our faith with others.

When you join a United Methodist congregation, you become a member of the total United Methodist connection. Members promise God and the congregation to uphold the church with their prayers, presence, gifts and service.
What are United Methodists...a diverse community
United Methodism was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968. United Methodists trace their spiritual heritage back to 18th-century leaders including John and Charles Wesley, Jacob Albright, Philip Otterbein, Martin Boehm and Francis Asbury.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN:
GOIN' ROUND IN CIRCLES
UMW currently offers a day and a night circle, small groups that provide fellowship, support and sharing as well as service opportunities for our community and world-wide.
Esther Circle- meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Virginia Circle - meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in members homes. Call the church office for meeting places: (316) 365-3883.
Special programs for the total church and community are sponsored by the UMW. UMW Executive sessions are held in member's homes the last Tuesday of the month to plan for events. Service projects include blankets for the needy, support of the food pantry, support of the Needy Fund, scholarships for church camp, and various other local and national missions.

UNITED METHODIST MEN & PROMISE KEEPERS
This group of men, which seeks to minister to a broad range of needs among men in our congregation, meets on the second Monday of each month at the Iola Burger King for breakfast and a program. We meet at 7 a.m. This UMM group supports
PROMISE KEEPERS.
Promise Keepers is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to uniting men through vital relationships to be godly influences in their world through study, prayer, worship, and fellowship.

CHANCEL CHOIR
The Chancel Choir sings for worship each Sunday. In addition, the Chancel
Choir also prepares at least two major works a year from contemporary selections. Judy Zirjacks is our choir director.
YOUTH GROUP
Middle School and High School age youth meet at the church or other announced locations at 4:30 p.m. on Sundays
