Velkomenn and Rejoice
We are a community of believers in Jesus Christ, who gather together for worship and education so as to prepare ourselves to lives acceptable to God and to enable us to share with others the good news of God love as revealed in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Worship is held weekly on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. with Holy Communion on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month and all festival Sundays; and on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. we have a spoken service of Holy Communion. Christian Education classes are offered each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. during the months of September through May, with mid-week Bible Studies offered in selected homes and church with various scheduling.
Other groups and activities:
ADULT CHOIR: practice Thursday 7:30 September through June, singing at 11:00 Service
YOUTH CHOIR for children of all ages: practice Sunday Noon September through May, singing once a month at 8:30 Service
CLOT: Christian Leaders Of Tomorrow, senior high youth group, meets twice a month with varying schedule.
PALs: Pre-Adolescent Lutherans, youth group for those in fourth through six grades, meets on Sunday nights 6:00 September through June
CONFIRMATION CLASSES: Offered for young adults in Seventh Grade, begins each September and ends on the Day of Pentecost
WOMEN OF THE ELCA: We offer two Circles: LYDIA CIRCLE meets on the frist Tuesday night of the month at 7:30 in various homes. REBEKAH/RUTH CIRCLE meets on the second Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Dorcas Room at the Church.
LUTHERAN MEN IN MISSION: Men meet once a month on the second Saturday at 8:30 for breakfast at a local restaurant.
PRE-SCHOOL/DAY CARE: Is offered Monday through Friday year round for children three through five years of age from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
