Our Purpose:

To spread and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, through every method of evangelism available to us. As a spirit filled, Christ centered, Bible based, family oriented church, we are focused on winning the lost for Christ. Here at the Evangelist Church Of God In Christ, our pastor, Supt. W. D. Duffey, Sr., is dedicated to prayer and fasting and leading the flock to a deeper depth in Christ. The Spoken Word, the Written Word, and the Prophetic Word operates through the lay Ministers and the Missionaries of this church. We believe that through preaching, teaching and living the word, we share the goodness and the reality of salvation, through reconciliation and forgiveness of sin; The Holy Ghost being our guide, you see, the riches of the gospel gives hope to those that are without hope. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, and behold all things are become new. (II Cor.5:17). WE BELIEVE In Salvation and Redemption by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. If you confess and forsake your sins you shall be saved. That every believer should seek God until he experiences the full baptism of the Holy Ghost, through speaking with tongues (which is your heavenly language). It's so precious! Read Acts 1:8 also Acts 2:4. We need the power to go through this world with peace in our hearts, and to withstand every temptation that the devil throws at us. You need the power of the Holy Ghost. Every believer should have a consecrated life through prayer, fasting, and studying God's word. Grow in grace. (II Peter 3:18) Every believer should strive to live a life of victory in all areas of life. When striving for excellence, one must give their time, talent, and support to the church and all its programs. The believer looks forward to baptism in water by immersion, the Lord's supper, and the Ordinances of the New Testament Church. All scriptures are given by inspiration of God and are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (II Timothy 3:16-17.
