VISION of LANE: To become wholistic in ministry concerning the needs of the congregation and community.
Lane Metropolitan, a Historical Cleveland Landmark, invites you to come and share in the joy of the Lord. The Lane congregation was organized in 1902 as one of the first CME "missions" in the urban North. The congregation has been in it's present location since 1919. The historic Lane Metropolitan is located on the corner of East 46th Street and Cedar.

CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: Lane will celebrate 100 years in 2002. Lane Memorial C.M.E. Church was organized March 14,1902 by Bishop Issac Lane and Rev. L. E. Shy. We will be celebrating all conference year (8/2001-8/2002) with special events. The Official Centennial KICK-OFF is March 17, 2002 ending with a banquet August 11, 2002 (location TBD). Please pray for us as we continue to travel on this journey and as we allow God to take us through the next 100 years.

FOOD BANK: Food Bank hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 10:30am-12:30pm. For Food Bank information, ask for Clarence & Sarah Haynes. The Hunger Center is now giving out clothing.
CHOIR REHEARSALS: Unity Choir - Thursdays,6:30pm; Voices of Lane - Saturday, 11:00am; Youth & Young Adult Choir - Saturday, 1:00pm; Children's Choir - Saturday,1:00pm; Male Chorus - Wednesday, 6:30 PM; Celestial Choir - Tuesdays, 6:30 PM (before 5th Sundays only)

TAPE MINISTRY: Tapes of all services are available for $4.00 each. Those who are sick or shut-in can receive a copy at no cost. Please ask for Jerry McClinton.
VISITATION MINISTRY:
Weekly visitation of sick and shut-in members, contact church office to be added to "Sick and Shut-in" list and addtional information.
G.E.D. MINISTRY:[LIFE - Lane Institute for Family Enrichment]
Registration & Classes will be Mondays at 6:30PM.
Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30PM for the winter months (January, February, March).
The starting age is 16.
Personal Development and Computer Literacy classes will be on Thursdays or Tuesdays(TBA). Contact is Brenda Stuart
LANE'S TUTORING CENTER:(through Cleveland Scholarship Program)
Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday- 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
Saturday from 9AM-3PM.

RITES OF PASSAGE:[LIFE]EVERY Thursday
5:30-7:00PM is Tutoring;
7:00-7:30PM Dinner is served for all Children & Youth;

CLEVELAND-PITTSBURGH LAY ZONE will host a workshop on Friday, January 18, 2002 at 7:00PM, Lane Metropolitan CME Church "How To Be A Steward & Stewardess." Sis. Louvenia Martin is the Lay Zone Leader & Sidney Cargle is the Lay President of Lane.
The CHILDREN & DANCE MINISTRY will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, January 20, 2002 immediately following Morning Worship Service. Price: $5.00- beef spaghetti/meatball & turkey spaghetti,$4.00- meatless spaghetti; $2.50 for all children 12 & under
