What God is Doing!
1. POWER THROUGH PRAYER! On November 1, 1997 the lay people of our church began a Pastor's Prayer Partner ministry. Everyday, someone is designated to pray for the pastor. On Sunday during worship a group gathers in a classroom for an hour of prayer. What a change it has made in our services. There is a new sense of excitement, new power in the pulpit, a new sense of expectancy. During the three months before Nov. 1 our church averaged 80 in morning worship. During the three months following Nov. 1 we averaged 108! One year later in Nov. of 1998 we had to begin having two morning worship services. We moved our Sunday School hour to the evening. God has been blessing this transition and we have seen continued growth. 2. MISSIONS. Missions is still a central part of who we are. God has been blessing us as we help our missionaries carry the load. This year we will give over $30,000 to missions. Last summer we had 36 go to South Dakota for a week of ministry among the Native Americans. This year we will have individuals in Africa, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Jamaica & the USA doing ministry. 3. VISION. We are in the search for property for relocation. We had to rent a neighboring house and pull in a trailer to provide classroom space. A number of our people have felt the call of God upon their life and are planning to pursue preparations for ministry. We are continuing to see people giving their lives to Christ and seeking a deeper Spirit filled life.
