OUR MANDATE</h3>
Our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, left as His last command, "GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHAT SO EVER I COMMANDED YOU AND KNOW THAT I AM WITH YOU ALL DAYS TO THE END OF THE AGE." (Matt 28: 19-20)

OUR MESSAGE</h3>
Our message is simple, yet complex. Our message is simple, "GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM MAY NOT PERISH BUT HAVE LIFE EVERLASTING." (John 3:16) Our message is complex. "UNLESS YOU EAT MY BODY AND DRINK MY BLOOD YOU HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU." (John 6:53)
Considering the firmly established prohibition in both Covenants against eating flesh with blood (Lev 17:10) and (Acts 15:20) how are we to understand this statement of our Lord?
Upon hearing this, many of the followers of Jesus were put off and could not accept this teaching. (John 6:59-68) Jesus did not back away from the full impact of His statement, rather He confirmed their understanding that what He said He meant in a literal manner and not just symbolically. "FOR MY FLESH IS MEAT INDEED AND MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED. HE THAT EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD DWELLS IN ME AND I IN HIM. (John 6:55-56)
St Paul taught that those who drink the blood of Christ and eat His flesh in an unworthy manner are guilty of the body and blood of Christ. (1 Cor 11:23-29) Obviously St. Paul understood the words of our Lord in a literal fashion.
So, again, I ask. What are we to understand in these words of our Savior?
Shed blood made the Atonement for sin in the Hebrew Covenant. (Lev 17:11) The New Covenant brings a new sacrifice and a new Priesthood according to the Order of Melchizedek. The old law has passed away and a new Covenant has replaced the old. (Heb 7:17-19) Christ, the High Priest of our Confession (Heb 3:1) offered one Sacrifice of His Blood that speaks louder than the blood of Abel (Heb 12:24) and washes away all of our sins. Christ is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.
The Eucharist that is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ is found only in the Orthodox and Catholic Faith. Only the Orthodox and Catholic Faith has the Priesthood established by Christ through the Apostles.
