Christian Education

The Christian Education program at SRC seeks to disciple youth and adults in godliness and to provide them with the tools to live life using Biblical principles. The centerpiece of the Christian Education program is Sunday School, which meets after the morning worship service at 11:30 a.m. Children’s classes meet from the second week in September through the third week of June.

Children and Youth Sunday School

For children age 3 through 12th grade, classes are grouped by age. A Bible-based curriculum is used that introduces youngsters to the great truths and stories of the Bible. Junior high students are taught catechism material, while Senior High students focus on the basics of Christian belief and practice.

Coffee & Questions

Coffee & Conversation is an informal and interactive time for adults to gather and discuss issues of faith and life from a biblical perspective. Relevant and thought provoking topics challenge the members to live out their faith practically in life. The class meets every week during the year.

Sunday Seminar

Elective courses are periodically offered. They are topical in nature. Recent electives, for example, have been “Becoming a Contagious Christian,” “Defending Your Faith,” and “Dealing With Anger.” Elective courses last from 3 to 6 weeks.

Fundamentals of the Faith

This class is designed to help new Christians or those who simply want to learn, review or wrestle with the fundamentals of the Christian faith. The goal of the class is to move the individual into a growing maturity in Christ.
