Sam L. Townsend, Jr.

Minister Townsend is a nationally recognized gospel-recording artist who has performed with artists such as Peabo Bryson, Sheena Easton, Oleta Adams, Karen Clark Sheard, and the late O'landa Draper. He is the Regional Music Coordinator for Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington for the National Church of God in Christ, Inc. He also serves as the State Assistant Minister of Music Washington.

In 1996 he founded and began directing the IMANI Fellowship Choir, based in Seattle, Washington. their first CD Remember Your Blessings was released in 1999. He is also the father of one son, a licensed minister in the Church of God in Christ, Youth Pastor and Executive Administrator at Greater Glory, Church of God in Christ, where his fater is the founder and pastor.

Minister Townsend works as a Family Developer for Region 4, the COMPEL Community Trainer and the Boys To Men Project Coordinator in Seattle Washington. He is an experienced presenter and trainer on topics such as Adoption/Foster Parent Pre Service, Sibling Preparation, Effective Discipline, Cultural Awareness, Racism Recognition and Prevention, and the dangers facing children trapped within the state's child welfare system.
